General Hotel Information
Where are you located? The Wayside Inn is at the quiet South end of Cannon Beach across from Tolovana Park.
Are you on the ocean? We’re an ocean-view hotel located across the street from the state park and the beach. We are not oceanfront. The second and third-floor rooms offer delightful ocean views, while first-floor rooms have partial views.
What are your office hours? The office is open 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. each day.
Is someone available after office hours? If you have an urgent need or an emergency after hours, there is always a staff member available to assist. Dial 0 from your room or call 503-436-1577 to reach an employee after hours.
What are your check-in and check-out times? Check-in is at 4 p.m. and Check-out is 11 a.m. The hotel office closes at 10 p.m. If you are going to arrive after 10 p.m., please call us at 503-436-1577 to make arrangements.
Is parking available? Complimentary parking is available onsite for hotel guests. Guests may have one car per room, except those staying in Two Bedroom Suites are allowed two cars.
Do you offer breakfast? We do not offer breakfast onsite, but there is a wonderful grocery next door and a great bakery just down the street. We have coffee, hot water, and tea available all day. In the morning we have breakfast bars if you need a quick snack and in the evening there’s always cookies.
Do you provide daily housekeeping service? The quality of your stay will be ensured by our fine staff. Daily housekeeping service is available 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. We are always happy to deliver fresh towels and additional amenities as needed during your stay.
Do you have a pool and hot tub? We have an indoor pool heated to 85 degrees and large hot tub. They are open daily 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Do you have beach blankets, beach toys, and chairs for hotel guests to borrow? Yes, we have beach blankets, a large collection of beach toys, chairs, and wagons for guests to borrow.
Reservations and Policies
How old do you need to be to reserve a room? To reserve a hotel room guests must be 21 years old.
Do you need a credit card to reserve a room? Is the card charged at the time of reservation? All reservations require a credit card to guarantee. The card is held and isn’t charged until your day of arrival.
What is your cancellation policy? We require 72 hours’ notice to cancel. If the cancellation is made with less than 72 hours’ notice, we will charge for the first night of the stay. During holiday time periods and special events, we require two weeks’ notice.
Do you have any specials? We offer specials in the off season. Sign up for our mailing list to be the first to know – Stay In the Know.
Rooms and Suites
Are your rooms non-smoking? All of our rooms and decks are non-smoking. Guests will be charged a $200 fee if they smoke in a room.
Do your rooms have decks? Yes, all of our rooms have a deck or patio where you can relax and enjoy the view.
Do your rooms have kitchens? All of our rooms have refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers. The One Bedroom Suites and Two Bedroom Suites have full kitchens with an oven.
Do you provide coffee in the rooms? All of the rooms include complimentary coffee from a local company, Left Coast Coffee. One coffee packet is provided daily. It will make a full-sized pot of coffee. Decaf packets are available.
Is Wi-Fi included? Yes, there is complimentary Wi-Fi in all rooms, and throughout the property.
Do your rooms have gas fireplaces? Almost all of the rooms have a cozy gas fireplace.
Dog-Friendly
Are dogs allowed in all rooms? Dogs are allowed in most rooms. We do have some dog-free rooms. We allow 2 dogs per room of any size. Each dog is $25 per night. Dogs may not be left uncrated in the room. We have crates to borrow if needed. We only allow dogs; no other pets are permitted in the rooms.
Can dogs be off leash? On the property, dogs must be on a leash at all times. Dogs are allowed on Oregon beaches off leash as long as they are under voice command.
Visiting Cannon Beach
Can you visit the tide pools around Haystack Rock? Responsible tide pooling and viewing is encouraged. Climbing on the rocks or collecting sea life is prohibited.
Are fires allowed on the beach? Fires are permitted on the beach. All fires must abide by the Oregon Coast state parks guidelines – Oregon Shore State Recreation Area. During very dry periods fires may be banned.
What do I do in the event of a Tsunami? In the event of a tsunami move to higher ground. Follow the evacuation route signs. Do not take your car.
